Meat Falafel Recipe (Makes 20-25 small falafels)
Ingredients:
1lb (450g) ground beef
1 cup breadcrumbs (whole wheat or regular)
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground coriander
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for spice)
Salt and pepper to taste
Olive oil for frying or baking
Instructions:
Prepare the mixture: In a large bowl, mix ground chicken, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, paprika, cayenne pepper (If using), salt and pepper until well combined. Shape falafel: From the mixture into small, bite-sized falafel ball or pattles.
Cooking options:
Frying: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the falafels for about 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
Baking: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place falafels on a greased baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.
