Shojin DTLA

Their executive chef, Jun Matoshiro was born in Hiroshima, Japan. He received practical training in Kaiseki and all kinds of traditional Japanese cuisine. In 2000, he moved to Orlando, Florida and worked at Hanamizuki, serving authentic Kyoto style cuisine. After years, he moved to Los Angeles to Shojin restaurant’s team. So when you try Shojin’s creations you know you are tasting an authentic experience, carefully crafted by a skillful and knowledgeable chef.​

The Shojin Concept is vegan, gluten-free, macrobiotic, organic and natural. They use no artificial ingredients, white or brown sugar, or table salt, they do not even use microwaves in any of their processes.

They seek to provide food that is healthy for the mind, body and soul, by using only the highest quality ingredients, organic whenever possible. All of their dishes are created originally and made from scratch.

Their downtown Los Angeles restaurant is located on 333 S Alameda St, Suite 310.
