1. In a bowl, mix all the wet ingredients

2. Add the ground almonds

3. In another bowl, combine the dry ingredients

4. Mix the dry and wet ingredients, stirring well and kneading the dough

5. Transfer the dough onto an oiled tray in the shape of a log

6. Bake at 340F/170C for 25 minutes

7. Remove and let it cool for 15 minutes. Then cut it diagonally

8. Place the cut pieces on the tray with the cut side up. Return to the oven for another 15 minutes or until they are slightly golden.

9. Pull out of the oven and let them cool then enjoy them with a lovely cup of coffee.
